Window Seizer

Although you can move and resize windows however you want, you can't retrieve any information about individual windows, without getting lost in the operating system's settings. Window Seizer can provide a better control over any window on your screen. It works like the standard Task Manager, but it focuses on windows.

Window Seizer is distributed as a free portable application. Instead of going through an installation process, you just need to download the software's executable and run it from a local folder or a removable drive. The file is less than one MB, which can be downloaded fast, even with a slow Internet connection.

Visible windows are listed on the application's interface, along with a wide range of technical information, like memory usage, handles, class names, statuses, positions and sizes. You can use different options, located on a toolbar, to close all folders or Internet Explorer windows, close selected windows or all windows of the same type, hide them or close all windows.

Hidden windows and windows with blank captions can be included in the same list, by ticking the appropriate options, beneath the toolbar. If you want to restore a hidden window, without scrolling down a long list, you can specify its handle and select an action, like restore, minimize, close and so on. The application will provide you with a window's handle automatically, when you hide it.
